Amelia is an experienced registered nurse with almost two decades working within the health service. She has experience of working in the United Kingdom as well as overseas.
Her career has been varied and included senior clinical and leadership roles. Having spent many years working within respiratory medicine, Amelia is a specialist in this field.
As Senior Charge Nurse for Respiratory Medicine, she was accountable for the leadership and oversight of a busy respiratory ward and a team of nurses and support staff.
Later in her career, Amelia further developed her leadership skills in roles such as the Discharge Hub Manager and System Flow Manager, where she was responsible for coordinating complex discharge planning and ensuring patient flow.

I am passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patients’ needs are identified and met. I take pride in being a nurse and have always felt honoured to be in a position where I can make a real difference to someone’s life.

I have always had a special interest in clinical governance and ensuring that appropriate polices, procedures and guidelines are in place to enable safe and effective care. During my leadership roles, I was actively involved and led incident investigations, complaint handling and clinical audit - something I enjoyed, as this identified areas for learning and service improvement.

When I am not at work, I am kept busy by children and my ongoing academic studies.
