4 years of experience as a senior clinical advisor at Northeast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust managing complex telephone triage assessments.
9 years’ experience as a Bank Staff Nurse at Leonard Cheshire Disabilities where she provided care for residents with a diverse variety of medical conditions, including brain injury, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and spina bifida
11 years’ experience as a Critical Care Sister at the Royal Victoria Infirmary specialising in Neuro Trauma ITU.

I have been a Registered General Nurse for 40 years, qualifying at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh School of Nursing in 1985.

My career has been mainly focused on caring for critically ill patients, both adults and children. For seven of those years I was a Resuscitation Officer with the lead for paediatric resuscitation in Newcastle Upon Tyne and taught on Advanced Life Support courses as an ALS instructor.

My standards of care are high and I always strive for the best for my patients.

I completely changed the direction of my career when I joined the North East Ambulance Service in November 2021 as a Senior Clinical Advisor.

I'm proud of my professional achievements to date and proud to be part of the Tessa Gough Associates team.
