Patronella is a highly skilled nurse, and independent nurse prescriber specialising in diabetes care.
Since 2010, she has worked as a Community Diabetes Specialist Nurse and trainer, across different healthcare trusts, and GP practices advising patients and providing advice and guidance on complex diabetic care to other healthcare professionals. Her experience expands to almost 40 years across general nursing, community, acute care settings and GP practice. Managing health in primary care, Patronella has led specialist clinics including chronic disease management, coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, asthma and COPD.
Patronella’s earlier career included metabolic disorder management, from initiation and titration of medications to maintaining normal levels of blood pressure, lipids and glucose in patients.
